Daniel

bio_daniel_200.jpg

We picked up Daniel from the police station on a holiday that honors Kenya’s former President, so we gave him the name of that president. He is quiet and peaceful…unless he has a need, and in that case, the whole Baby Center will know of the need.

Gifton and Solomon

bio_gifton_200.jpg

Gifton and Solomon are twins who came to us when they were about 6 months old. They are as opposite as two brothers can be. Gifton is tall and slim with endless amounts of energy. We think he might be a carpenter some day, since he loves to pound things. Solomon is built bigger and is as laid-back and mellow as Gifton is energetic. He’s always welcoming to people and greets everyone with a dimpled-cheek grin.bio_solomon_200.jpg

Lucy

bio_lucy_200.jpg

Lucy was a bit older when she came to us—she was close to one year old. The transition for her wasn’t easy, so she was very quiet and wary when she arrived. But it didn’t take very many days before she just couldn’t resist the sheer love our ladies lavished on her.

Nowadays, she’s the life of the party, often making us laugh with her clever mimicking and new “tricks” that seem to come up every day. She loves being outside and is a good “big sister” to all the other kids.

Noah

Also found on the streets, Noah was just a little guy when he came to us—about 3 weeks old. When he first came, he was so serious—hardly smiling but just taking in the world around him. These days, he’s still quiet and peaceful, but he smiles easily—even at the mere calling of his name.

Aaron and David

bio_aaron_200.jpg

Aaron and David came to us after having been picked from the street. They came to us at around 2 months of age and were suffering severely from starvation and malnutrition. They had some rough days with us at first, when their little bodies just weren’t used to accepting food. But we are so thankful that Jesus has made them strong and healthy once again! They’re not twins, but we sure thought so when they arrived.

Aaron is nicknamed “mchungaji” (pastor) because from the time he came he would “kneel” and clasp his hands in prayer when we tried to hold him up to stand. He’s a very social boy who loves attention and had adjusted quickly to being held and loved.

David is a sweet, peaceful, undemanding boy who can easily entertain himself. He loves cuddling and pushes his head forward for kisses if you pick him up.

Moses

bio_moses_200.jpg

Moses was picked from a river on the day of his birth. After being with us for a few weeks, he suffered from a severe case of pneumonia that sent him to intensive care at Tenwek Hospital (a mission hospital that is a ministry of Africa Gospel Church and World Gospel Mission). He came close to death several times in that month, and all the doctors agree that it is only our Father God who healed him.

Moses is a joyful boy who has much to say. He loves the other babies and will “talk” to anyone who listens.

Margret

bio_margret_200.jpg

Margret was orphaned at birth. When she came to us 3-and-a-half months old, she was literally not able to hold up her head or really move her legs. Her arms were stiff and hands turned in. We’re so thankful that God has strengthened her to overcome these developmental delays so that now she is sitting and standing up strong and straight!

The name Margret means “a pearl”. We think that Margret is indeed a pearl—Found in a rough looking shell and created from a rough start….Not flashy or bold like a diamond, but quietly beautiful and serene, so very precious and valuable. She’s a sweet, peaceful little girl who doesn’t demand much, but who lets you know she thoroughly enjoys any attention you’ll give to her.

Benson and Mary

bio_benson_200.jpg

Benson and Mary are a lively set of twins who were our very first babies to AGC Baby Center. They were picked up by a good Samaritan from the street when they were still newborns.

Benson is a sweet, affectionate boy who enjoys people so much. He loves snuggling and welcomes everyone he knows with all the excitement his gap-toothed grin can show.bio_mary_c_200.jpg

Mary is an independent, feisty and clearly intelligent little girl who might possibly be able to rule the world one day.  We think she might sit in court one day as a judge.
